Similar to ping pong, badminton and tennis, it’s a fun active game that can be mastered by anyone!  Pickleball was created during the summer of 1965 and is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States.  It is played on a badminton court with a net lowered to 34" and uses a perforated plastic ball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles.Although Beginners do not need to be 'top athletes' to participate and safely enjoy the game, you must be able to run faster than you walk!!Participants must bring their own paddle to the program. Call our office if you are not sure which type of paddle to purchase.  Beginner                  (6) Week SessionPlease note:  new dates differ from that in BrochureResidents and non-Residents welcome!!

New session / New Books / New RecipesBooks come to life through creative cooking! This program will have young tots and their caregivers joining us weekly for a fun, hands on cooking class that will revolve around a different children’s book each class. Anything from Letter Pretzels with "Chick a Chick a Boom Boom" to Pink Pig Cookies with marshmallow snouts when we visit "Give a Pig a Pancake"! Kids will have fun rolling dough, mixing, sprinkling and messing up our kitchen instead of yours and then enjoy reading the corresponding book!  Recipes are fun, easy and child oriented.  Spring session (7) weeks2-4 years old w/adultPlease Note: Although we do not generally use nuts in our recipes, our programs are not designed to handle food allergies.

Take advantage of the beautiful Spring New England weather with Parks and Recreation!Do you like bugs, plants, birds and the outdoors?  Come hike the woods, along streams & ponds while learning about hiking safety.  Gather items from nature in a scavenger hunt, make a bird feeder or trail mix! Each hike will include a craft or activity.  Explore the exciting AVIS trails all within minutes from your home!  All hikes simple enough for toddlers and their caregivers.5 Week Program(Younger siblings are welcome at no additional cost, but are the complete responsibility of parent/caregiver and do not receive supplies)**Note: Hikers will meet locally at a pre-determined location each week and follow to the trails.

Similar to ping pong, badminton and tennis, it’s a fun active game that can be mastered by anyone!  Pickleball was created during the summer of 1965 and is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States.  It is played on a badminton court with a net lowered to 34" and uses a perforated plastic ball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles.Although Beginners do not need to be 'top athletes' to participate and safely enjoy the game, you must be able to run faster than you walk!!Participants must bring their own paddle to the program. Call our office if you are not sure which type of paddle to purchase.  Beginner                  (6) Week SessionPlease note:  new dates differ from that in BrochureResidents and non-Residents welcome!!

This popular interval class mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. Program is designed to be different all the time and push participants harder than they would push themselves.  Although instructors will push like drill sergeants, our goal is to offer encouragement rather than intimidation.
