New session / New Books / New RecipesNote: NEW START DATE OF 10/10Books come to life through creative cooking! This program will have young tots and their caregivers joining us weekly for a fun, hands on cooking class that will revolve around a different children’s book each class. Anything from Letter Pretzels with "Chick a Chick a Boom Boom" to Piggy Pancakes with banana snouts when we visit "Give a Pig a Pancake"! Kids will have fun rolling dough, mixing, sprinkling and messing up OUR kitchen instead of yours and then enjoy reading the corresponding book!  Recipes are fun, easy and child oriented.  Fall Session (8) weeks2-4 years old w/adultPlease Note: Although we do not generally use nuts in our recipes, our programs are not designed to handle food allergies.

  Kids will have a BLAST in this course that mixes up all kinds of FUN in our  kitchen! Classes include creative cooking and crafting!Fall sessionThe first week is pizza week, kids will make a cheese pizza and an apple crisp pizza!  Week two we make peanut butter Oreo brownies and a "giving" platter.  Week three is warm bread and flavored butters.  Week four is pumpkin cooking and decorating week.  Week five, whip up some crafted spatulas and some breakfast fun!  Week six is Mexican recipe and craft fun!   6 week sessionALL supplies included for recipes and crafts!

**NEW**Calling all Kindergarteners and older Preschoolers!  Come join us once a week for a fun program that will explore a NEW theme each week!  Week one is Kitchen week where kids will be hands on making and eating a great recipe and following up with a book that goes with the theme.  Week two is Nature week, kids explore outside with tree rubbings, pine cone feeders and leaf art!  Week three kids will decorate pumpkins!  Week four lets decorate a couple of fall cupcakes!  Week five is Art week with fun self portraits!  Week six kids will work on making a fleece blanket together to donate to our Project Linus charity for children in the hospital.  Week seven the kids decorate a special family plate. 7 week session

The We-Do Robotics system features LEGO models that incorporate working motors and sensors with simple programming software.  Kids will work as scientists and engineers to build, program and test working models.  By building dancing birds, drumming monkeys and roaring lions, they'll learn about simple machines, complex motion and the concept of randomness.  Score a goal with a robot soccer player, go on a daring airplane rescue and sail a boat in a storm!NOW 8 WEEK SESSIONS!Note:  Accepting Registrations through Thursday, October 8th

Try our FREE mini program day at North Reading Parks and Recreation!  We’ll be sampling a bit of cooking through Little Spuds Cook n Book/Small Fries, some jumping and balancing in Tumbleweeds and some great fun with music, movement and puppets with Wiggles and Giggles! All of our instructors will be there for kids and parents to meet! These programs are free but you must pre-register for planning purposes. Come see what this popular sport is all about!Similar to ping pong, badminton and tennis, it’s a fun active game that can be mastered by anyone with athletic skills. Pickleball was created during the summer of 1965 and is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States.  It is played on a court with a net lowered to 34" and uses a perforated plastic ball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles.Although Beginners do not need to be 'top athletes' to participate and safely enjoy the game, you must be able to run faster than you walk!!Participants must bring their own paddle to the program. Call our office if you are not sure which type of paddle to purchase.  Beginner                  (6) Week SessionResidents and non-Residents welcome!!

This basic babysitters course will include instruction on how to interview the parents, diapering and feeding techniques, creative reading, activities for young children, appropriate snacks, bedtime issues, age appropriate toys, learn to perform the basic first aid, choking, cuts, puncture wounds, bruises, eye injuries, nosebleeds, tooth injuries,burns, seizures, poisoning, bites, tips on safe babysitting including setting up a "code" with parents in case of emergency.  Course Instructor, Debbie LaFlamme is a licensed day care provider with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has over 20 years experience in caring for children of all ages in her home.This is a four hour ONE DAY program*students are not certified in first aid or CPR
